Mable Lilly Robinson, daughter of the late Armstead and Octavia Martin Lilly was born in Rockingham, NC on March 20, 1929. She was the fifteenth child of sixteen children born to her parents. On Tuesday evening, August, 25, 2020 the Lord, our Savior requested Mable's presence and peacefully called her home.
Aunt Mable attended the public schools of Richmond County and joined Pleasant Hill AMF Zion Church as a child. She attended Shaw University in Raleigh, NC, graduated and pursued a career in education. After moving to Fayetteville, NC she became a member of Lewis Chapel Missionary Baptist Church.
Aunt Mable was united in holy matrimony with the late Gilbert Acker Robinson of Winston, Salem, NC on August 22, 1956. Though they had no children of their own, Aunt Mable's life was dedicated to students and all children whose lives touched in a positive manner.
We accept with humility God's plan and will honor her legacy of love: a dedicated niece and her family, Carolyn Lilly-Nelson, great niece, Danya S.
