Juanita S. Lawrence

Ms Juanita S. Lawrence was born in Columbus, Georgia on February 17, 1931 to the union of Jesse and Mattie Smothers who preceded her in death.  She was also preceded in death by her son, Alvin Stoval.

When she became a resident of Mt. Sinai Apartments, she joined Mt. Sinai Church.  She became a member a member of Mattye B. Collin Temple #1351.  As chairperson of the local Temple of the Elks, she organized a drill team with the assistance of the children and parents living in the apartments.  Juanita was also a North Carolina Directress.  Other committees of which she served were:  Veterans Affairs, Easter Egg Hunt, Beauty and Talent on local and state levels.  She also earned the Past State President Degree.

Juanita enjoyed cooking and worked diligently at the church with Mrs. Lewis cooking and kitchen services.

Juanita leaves a host of friends to cherish her memory.
