Christopher Matthew Ryan Sledge

Christopher Ryan Matthew Sledge was born May 5, 1985. He was youngest born to the late Sargent Willie Sledge and Dr, Gloria Elliott. He grew up in Fayetteville NC, with the help of his step-father Mr. James Elliott and step-mother Laverne Sledge.  He graduated from E.E. Smith in 2003.

His old childhood friends called him (Gus) and later known as Sledge and Krunk.  He has been a part of Faith Tabernacle Christian Center and even crowned Mr. FTCC at Prom.

After graduation, he had a short stay in the US Army, where he was ranked at the top of his graduating class in physical fitness.  His other adventures included:  Barber School and writing song beats.

Chris worked in a variety of positions, as he was capable of any job given to him.  His most valuable asset was being a "Daddy" to Imani and Memphis.  When Chris was in the room there was never a quiet moment. You knew he was somewhere in the building.  We pray that he is making soulful beats in Heaven.

He leaves precious memories to his sisters, Jemecia Vaughn, Elizabeth Sledge, Shanika Elliott and one brother James Elliott Jr;  his children, Imani Sledge of Fayetteville and Memphis Sledge of Charlotte, NC:  two nephews, Courtland and Xavier; a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, other relatives and friends.
