Mrs.Cecelia Bell Womble Ingram affectionately known as Celie Bell Ingram affectionately know as Celie Bell grew up in Lee County, North Carolina. She was the daughter of Ola Mae and George Womble. Church was her life and she was introduced to it at an early age, working as a young Usher, Missionary and Choir member. As she got older she became a devout Missionary, Pastor's wife and Choir member who loved to sing to the glory of the Lord. Later in life she served as Area Chairperson for several local areas, resulting in her receiving the Pioneer Award for outstanding longevity and work. She eventually met and fell in love with James Edward Ingram a handsome military man who managed to sweep her off her feet and away to Fort Knox, Kentucky. Being a military wife allowed her to travel and see many places. Stationed at Ft. Bragg they eventually settled in Fayetteville, North Carolina where she worked over 30 years with Special Populations in the Cumberland County School System. From their union they had three sons (Anthony, James Jr. and Julius) and one daughter (Jackie) She was p[receded in death by her Mother, Husband,Two Sons (Anthony and Julius), and Two brothers. Surviving are sister Johnnie Mae (Walter) Peoples, One Granddaughter AF Lt. Adara (Kris) Scholl. Three great grandchildren, Ame, Esther,and Gideon. A host of nieces, nephews,cousins and extremely close friends.
