Catherine Bell Davis

Catherine Hill was born in Fayetteville, N.C. January 25, 1926.  She was an only child and did not have sisters or Brothers.  All family members preceded her in death except her step-children, Thomas Hill, Jr. Vasti Adkins, Arzole Jones.  God blessed Catherine to live a fruitful and productive life.  Her  education was obtained in the Cumberland County School System. Upon graduation, she continued her education at Shazar's Beauty.  She graduated on April 9th, 1945 with a degree in Cosmetology.  Mrs. Hill owned a Beauty Salon in Detroit, Michigan.  Her Christian Journey began at an early age including Sunday School and being a dedicated member at Mattock Memorial AME Zion Church.  During these years until her Health began to fail she was a dedicated and serving in many capacities in the church.  Catherine had a humble spirit and a true love for God and her fellow man.  Her compassion for others was reflected in her daily life.
